AGRISCIENCE
The Agriscience team this year competed at the state level.
Grace Jardon's project was “The Epidemiology and Treatment of Spinose Ear Ticks on a California Dairy” in the Animal Systems Division. Grace won her division and was awarded Overall High Individual. Alyssa Lang and Megan Robbins' project was, “The Effectiveness of Disinfectants on Common Livestock Bacteria” in the Animal Systems division. Hayli Limon competed in the Plant Systems category with her project of “The Effectiveness of Disinfectants on Common Plant Bacteria” and placed first in her division. Mary Jane Archuleta- Jensen and Zachary Giovani competed as team in the category of Power Structural and Technical Systems. Their project was “A Comparison between Alternating Current and Direct Current in Shielded Metal Arc Welding." They won the Overall High Team award. These projects include a lengthy scientific paper, a well thought out experiment, a poster, and a logbook containing results and conclusions.
As a team Exeter won their third State champion title and will be competing at National Convention this October.
