Animal Handling
Pre-requisite: Completion of Life Science graduation credit or by teacher approval. May be taken concurrently with Animal Science course. A hands-on capstone work experience type course where students gain skills and knowledge working on projects on the school farm and with major livestock species in the areas of animal nutrition, health, selection, behavior, reproduction, housing, care, economic trends, production practices and issues in animal agriculture. In addition, learners will gain experience through leadership development, SAE projects, and career exploration in the area of animal agriculture. UC Elective Credit
