About FFA

FFA is a dynamic youth organization within agricultural education that prepares  students for premier leadership, personal growth and career success. FFA was created in 1928 as the Future Farmers of America; however, the  name was changed to the National FFA Organization  in 1988 to reflect the growing diversity of agriculture.Today, more than 900,000 student members are engaged in a wide range of  agricultural education activities, leading to over 300 career opportunities in the agriculture science, food, fiber, and natural resources industry. Student success remains the primary mission in FFA.

By being enrolled in an Agriculture class, students are a member of the FFA. FFA is the largest youth leadership organization in the nation, with close to one million members. FFA activities encourage personal growth, leadership development, and foster career success.   Activities range from meetings, committee work, community service, and leadership conferences to Career Development Events including Judging Teams,  Speaking Contests, and many other possibilities.  Plan Ahead, each student must complete 3 per semester!  Students may not carry over activities from semester to semester. There are plenty of activities available for every student!
